Disney's Bedtime
Playhouse Disney is the younger sibling of Disney Channel and provides pre-school kids with a raft of activities to get then through the day.
To support their TV broadcasts, the website offers additional learning activities and games to maintain continuity between transmissions.
The task
Playhouse Disney needed to re-brand their bedtime block (6pm-8pm) in Autumn 09 and so to support this; a new Bedtime site was designed and produced by e-bloc. In addition to this we were also tasked with producing a range of games and activities synchronised to become available alongside the transmission schedules on the TV show.
Target audience
* Preschool children 3-6 years
* Parents and guardians
Outcome
It was important to provide a smooth transition for visitors as they moved between the TV and website and so to tackle this we worked with the TV production team to create tailored content and dialogue for the website so that visitors are guided and instructed by the familiar faces of the presenters.
The interface provides parallax panning so that visitors can pan left and right to explore the rooms for hidden activities, which include:
* Presenter guided Join the dots
* Printable activities
* Viewer’s gallery
* Sing-along with presenters
Additional content will be rolled out throughout 2010 alongside the production schedule of the TV show.
