Quest Seekers
The Reading Agency is an independent charity which inspires more people to read by running national reading campaigns that help open up the world of reading to key audiences, often working with public libraries, tutors and parents.
The task
The list of objectives was understandably long; however, the following five were critical to the success of the online presence:
* Maintain and increase the number of young readers accessing the site
* To provide a top quality web experience that reflects the Quest Seeker brand.
* To provide games and content that appeal strongly to children.
* To make visits to the website a central part of the Challenge experience.
Target audience
* Young readers 8 – 11 years
* Younger readers 4- 7 years
* Young library club members
* Parents and teachers
Outcome
Total visits for the site were just shy of quarter of a million during the summer term and holiday period with average session times of 16 minutes per visitor.
The response and feedback from teachers, parents and the target audience was fantastic and a testament to our belief that Flash as creative technology can educate through positive experiences.
